Native AI files give the best results because text remains fully editable. If your AI file is very old or uses proprietary embedded fonts, exporting to a PDF with editable text (not flattened) is an acceptable alternative. Please do not send flattened or rasterized PDFs for Illustrator work, as text cannot be extracted from these.
