A PDF is a presentation format, not an editing format. Extracting text from a PDF removes all positioning, column layout, font information, and graphical elements. Simply translating the extracted text and pasting it back produces a document that looks nothing like the original. Proper PDF translation requires content extraction, specialist translation, and professional layout reconstruction.
Scanned PDF pages are processed through optical character recognition to extract text accurately before translation. We support Latin, Cyrillic, Arabic, CJK, and other script systems.
Multi-column layouts, positioned text boxes, headers, footers, page numbers, and graphical callouts are reconstructed in the translated PDF to match the original design.
PDFs often contain sensitive legal, financial, or personal data. All project files are transferred via encrypted channels and all translators sign non-disclosure agreements.

We need to be able to open and extract content from the file. If your PDF is password-protected, please remove the password or provide it before submission. We treat all client files as confidential regardless of protection status.
We can work from a PDF-only source. For text-based PDFs we extract text directly. For scanned documents we use OCR. In both cases we reconstruct the layout in the target language. The output quality for PDF-only projects is the same as for source-file projects for most document types.
Timeline depends on page count and layout complexity. A standard 10-page report with a clean layout is typically completed in 2 to 3 business days. Multi-page technical manuals or annual reports with complex graphical layouts are quoted with a specific timeline at the project stage. Expedited service is available for straightforward documents.
